Everyday Yoga: Consider Doing These Asanas To Get Relief From Symptoms Of Vertigo

Daily yoga

Incorporating yoga into your daily routine can indeed help alleviate symptoms of vertigo and promote overall balance and well-being. Here are some yoga asanas (poses) that may offer relief:

1. Mountain Pose (Tadasana): Stand tall with feet hip-width apart, arms by your sides, and palms facing forward. Engage your core muscles and lengthen your spine.
Focus on grounding through your feet and finding balance in your body.
Hold the pose for several breaths, feeling steady and rooted.

2. Forward Fold (Uttanasana): From Mountain Pose, exhale as you hinge at the hips and fold forward, keeping your spine long.
Allow your head to hang heavy and relax your neck.
You can bend your knees slightly if needed to maintain comfort.
Feel the stretch along the back of your legs and spine, releasing tension and promoting relaxation.

3. Cat-Cow Stretch (Marjaryasana-Bitilasana): Begin on your hands and knees in a tabletop position, with wrists aligned under shoulders and knees under hips.
Inhale as you arch your back, dropping your belly towards the floor and lifting your gaze towards the ceiling (Cow Pose).
Exhale as you round your spine, tucking your chin to your chest and drawing your belly button towards your spine (Cat Pose).
Flow between Cat and Cow poses with your breath, gently massaging the spine and improving spinal flexibility.
